The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.
